The flowers that adorn the temples, mosques and gurudwaras in India are replaced every day, with fresh inflow. Everyday, huge load of used, but still sacred flowers is that cannot be disposed off in garbage or with the daily waste. These flowers are usually collected and thrown in the rivers or water bodies. We at haath.org understand the twin problem of respectful disposal of the “sacred” flower and organic waste along with prevention of water pollution that arise from their inadequate disposal. We collect flowers from various locations and instead of throwing them into water, turn them into vermicompost fertilizer. The temples and gurudwaras are able to properly take care of the organic waste and the environment instead of suffering from water pollution gets its dues back in the form of 100% organic natural fertilizers.
